I am a first-year physical education teacher at Santee Educational Complex and I have coached football at Miguel Contreras Learning Complex for 11 years. I am currently working towards a master’s degree in Adapted Physical Education at California State University, Long Beach. My professional goals are to continue coaching high school students and to become a nationally board certified Physical Educator.
My physical activity preferences align with me as a future PE teacher. I love a variety of sports and take a lot of pleasure in playing them (even the ones I am not that good at). I feel that would benefit me as a teacher because I can encourage all of my students, no matter what their skill level is, to enjoy participation in all sports still. I also like different activities like hiking, bike riding, and just going for long walks. Which are other activities I can also introduce my students to.
